This is My Mother's (Father's) shipping World - papercut artwork

Delicate papercut artwork, using the text of the United Methodist Hymnal #144, "This is My Father's World," text by Maltbie D. Babcock. The text set here is from the first stanza:

"This is my Father's shipping world;
And to my listening ears,
All nature sings
And round me rings
The music of the spheres."

Following the version of Aoife O'Donovan singing with the Dave Douglas Quintet, I include both Mother and Father.

The full first and second stanzas of the original text read:

This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.

The birds their carols raise,
