Included in the box set are The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. No handwriting or other indications of previous ownership. All four books appear unread, with unbroken spines. While the books are in great shape, the slipcase is only acceptable. It has a large split along one of the seams (4+ inch). It has done it's job keeping the books safe. See the photos to evaluate for yourself. Only very minor edge, corner shipping and shelf wear on this set. Nothing more than what would be expected from an old, vintage set.

All printings are 1978 - November and December.

Books measure 7 inches by 4 inches. This is a Vintage Item and is Sold As Is.
