This rug has been carefully handwoven by Fatima in the north of Portugal. It is made on a manual loom, with a millenary artisan technique from this northern region. Due to their great thickness, they offer greater comfort to the feet.

All the raw material used is of Portuguese origin: the wool comes from sheep of the Churra Badana breed. It works only with the natural colors of wool (intense white, beige and dark brown) and the tones created by their blends, without resorting to dyes or chemicals. Fatima does the entire transformation process: she washes and beats the wool, manipulates the carding, combs and spins, doba, rewashes and weaves.

It's a declaration of love for traditional southern European art and a boon for any interior.
