This is a Large Old Vintage Oriental Composition/Paper Mache Chinese Doll In Silk Clothes Carrying A Musical Instrument In His Waist.


This is a wonderful vintage gift or collector piece.

This is fantastic looking Chinese male doll dressed in silk clothes. The hair is done up into a knot on his head and covered in green patterned silk. His face is in a very good condition and retaining lots of colour, and a fantastic expression on his face. His hand are of the same finish . There are very large and all fingers are open and separated, with slight cracking in the wrist/lower arms. The doll has a cloth/Linen body shipping that feels like it might be stuffed with sawdust or other material, but hard to tell. The boots again are made and painted black. There is thick wire through his feet and not sure what this is for. He has pink silk trousers and a long green silk robe costume.


The doll is in a very good aged condition. Super rare dolls to add to a collection.

No makers mark on dolls.

It also says 12- 1/2" high approx.

Well made.
