Vintage Eiwa Kinsei Dragon Phoenix Ramen or Soup bowls set. Made in Japan. Sold as set.

Set includes of 4 bowls.

These beautiful hand-painted Ramen or Soup bowls treasures are absolutely stunning. Each depicts a red dragon and a phoenix comprised of all of the primary colors. The striking design is hand painted in bright colors of iron red, royal blue, yellow, and a bit of green. The phoenix bird is graceful and flowing, the dragon highly detailed. Additional images wrap around to the sides of the bowl which include scroll clouds and wisps of dragon's shipping breath. A greek key pattern wraps around the top.

The Dragon and Phoenix are two of the most powerful of the four Chinese celestial animals. Dragon is "yang" while Phoenix is "yin", and they complement each other in creating yin-yang balance.

Red marks underneath "Made in Japan".


MEASUREMENTS:
Each bowl is 6 1/2" in diameter x 2 1/4" tall
