This 3-foot-long hand crocheted table runner is 13" at its widest. It is crocheted with the finest ecru thread which makes the runner soft as butter to the touch, only 1/16 inch thick, and near impossible to crease. (Creases in pictures are the result of 50 years in storage.) No stains, no damage or repair.

I invite you to look closely and compare to similar crocheted runners. It took a great deal of time and skill to create the flowered border surrounding 3600 large squares, each divided into shipping 4 smaller squares. The design mimics the style of Hardanger cutout embroidery, but is magically done by crochet needle alone. The detail is mind boggling, the stitchwork exemplary. This elegant antique weighs only 2.5 ounces.
